How Jeniva handles information related to your use of the app.
This Privacy Policy explains the types of information connected to your use of Jeniva and how that
information is used in connection with the app’s pottery community, posting tools, profile features,
wheel journal, and in-app purchase features.
1. Information You Provide
When you use Jeniva, you may provide information such as:
- Profile information, including your display name, profile photo, and bio.
- Content you choose to post, including pottery photos, videos, captions, and comments.
- Wheel Log entries, including photos, session duration, work date, self-rating, and notes.
- Information included in reports, block actions, or support requests.
- Purchase-related information needed to provide Kiln Gems when you make an in-app purchase through Apple.
2. Permissions and Device Access
Jeniva may request access to certain device features when you choose to use related tools in the app:
- Camera: to capture pottery photos, profile photos, and videos.
- Microphone: to record audio with videos you create in the app.
- Photo Library: to choose images and videos for posts, profile updates, and Wheel Log entries.
If tracking permission is requested on your device, it is used only for the purpose explained in the system prompt and only with your authorization where required.
3. How Information Is Used
Jeniva uses information connected to the app to:
- Create and manage your profile and account-related settings.
- Display your posts, comments, and profile content inside the app.
- Enable interactions such as likes, comments, follows, reports, and block preferences.
- Support discovery features such as browsing feeds, viewing profiles, and searching works or potters.
- Save and organize your Wheel Log records.
- Process and reflect in-app purchase results for Kiln Gems.
- Respond to support requests and address misuse, safety, or policy issues.
4. Visibility of Content
Profile information, posts, and comments you choose to publish may be visible to other users inside the app.
Your interactions, such as follows, likes, comments, reports, and block actions, may also be used to operate
related app features.
5. Purchases
Jeniva offers in-app purchases for Kiln Gems. Payment transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Jeniva does not receive your full payment card information.
6. Your Choices
- You can update your display name, profile photo, and bio in your profile settings.
- You can remove your own posts, comments, and Wheel Log records through the available app controls.
- You can manage camera, microphone, photo library, and tracking permissions through your device settings.
- You can request account deletion through the app’s Settings page.
7. Retention
Information connected to your use of Jeniva may be retained for as long as needed to provide app features,
support user requests, address safety concerns, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
